Job Description

Our client is a well established construction firm in the west GTA that has a diverse ICI portfolio. They are know for their strong reputation for delivering projects on time, on budget, and to the highest standards, they are expanding their team to manage a commercial interior and new build projects. Position Summary:We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Project Manager to oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of a new interior projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management, excellent leadership skills, and a proven track record of successfully delivering commercial projects. Key Responsibilities:Project Planning & Scheduling:Develop and manage project schedules, milestones, and deliverables.Coordinate with architects, engineers, consultants, and subcontractors.Budget & Cost Management:Prepare, manage, and track project budgets.Approve invoices, change orders, and monitor cost controls to avoid overruns.Team & Stakeholder Coordination:Lead cross-functional teams including site supervisors, subcontractors, and suppliers.Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, and internal stakeholders.Permitting & Regulatory Compliance:Ensure all necessary permits and inspections are obtained and passed.Maintain compliance with local building codes, health and safety regulations, and environmental guidelines.Quality Assurance & Risk Management:Monitor construction activities to ensure quality workmanship and adherence to plans and specs.Identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies.Progress Reporting:Provide regular updates to senior management on project status, issues, and performance metrics.Maintain comprehensive project documentation.Qualifications:Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.Minimum 57 years of experience managing ICI construction projects, preferably interior projects.In-depth knowledge of construction processes, materials, scheduling software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera), and budgeting tools.Strong understanding of local building codes, safety regulations, and permitting processes.Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.PMP or similar project management certification is an asset.Preferred Skills:Experience with LEED or other sustainable building practices.Familiarity with construction management software (e.g., Procore, Buildertrend).Whats on Offer:$120,000 - $130,000 salary + benefits packageOpportunities for career advancement and professional developmentSupportive and dynamic work environment
