Location: Calgary, AB or Edmonton, ABType: ContractDuration: 1-year (extendable)Schedule: Hybrid M-FAirswift is working with one of our major clients in the Oil & Gas industry to find a Senior Project Manager to join their team in Calgary, AB or Edmonton, AB. This is a 1-year contract with the possibility of extension. Overview:The primary responsibility is to manage risk management activities for MP portfolio of projects. This includes risk identification, assessment, response, monitoring and control. More focus is given to support timely implementation of risk-based decision making and to establish corrective actions. Must-haves: Minimum 8 years - 12 years of relevant experience required Bachelor's degree in a related field Demonstrated success in leading teams and managing project budgets Strong background in safety leadership, environmental management, and regulatory compliance Nice-to-haves: Post-Graduate Diploma in Management (MBA) or equivalent Project Management Professional (PMP) certification Excellent leadership and team management skills Strong strategic planning and business acumen Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to evolving project requirements Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Commitment to safety and quality standards What you'll do: Facilitate an early risk and opportunity identification, assessment, and response planning sessions to support planning activities. Lead the development of templates and flow chart for project risk management process and execution strategies. Monitor risk response progress, identify, and respond to emerging risks. Establish schedule risk models and assess the confidence level of meeting the In-Service Date. Work with the project team to assists in leading risk-based decision-making/problem solving. Ensure timely update of the risk register and create risk reports. Continuous cost and schedule review/analysis. Analyse the impact of changes on the project Conduct constructability review sessions. Support contingency estimation and calibration for all projects. Conduct lessons learned, issue resolution, trend analysis, and ensure timely communication of lessons to other teams in the Projects Organization.
