Job Description

The Pricing Analyst plays a crucial role in the distribution industry by coordinating and managing the company''s product pricing systems. This role involves maintaining and updating the company''s book pricing by keeping accurate records based on supplier pricing and management input. The Pricing Analyst will collaborate with various departments, including supply chain, to generate book pricing for new suppliers, ensuring that account managers have the most current and competitive pricing information to maximize sales and profitability. Pricing System Management: Oversee and manage the company''s product pricing systems to ensure accuracy and efficiency. Continuously evaluate and improve pricing processes and systems to optimize pricing strategies. Data Analysis and Maintenance: Maintain and update the company''s book pricing by accurately recording supplier pricing information. Regularly analyze and validate pricing data to identify discrepancies or trends that require attention. Supplier Price Management: Work closely with Sales leadership to gather and update pricing information. Verify and enter supplier pricing into the pricing systems, ensuring data accuracy and consistency. Liaison with Other Departments: Collaborate with supply chain, sales, and other relevant departments to gather input on pricing strategies and requirements. Maintain ongoing communication with various departments to understand market dynamics and customer needs. New Supplier Pricing: Create and manage book pricing for new suppliers by gathering and analyzing relevant data. Ensure that new supplier pricing aligns with company goals and competitive market conditions. Competitive Analysis: Monitor and analyze competitor pricing strategies to provide insights and recommendations for maintaining competitiveness. Reporting: Generate regular reports on pricing performance, trends, and any discrepancies, presenting findings to management for decision-making. Other: Stay informed about industry trends and market conditions that impact publication pricing. Qualifications Bachelor''s degree in business, finance, or a related field. Proven experience in pricing analysis or a similar role within the distribution industry. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in ERP, data analysis tools, and spreadsheet software (e.g., Excel). Excellent communication and negotiation skills. Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records. Knowledge of distribution industry pricing dynamics and market conditions. Working conditions Regular office working hours: Monday Friday 8:30 am 4:30 pm (30 mins for lunch) Offer flexible hours and currently Hybrid remote work (2 days in office), subject to change at management discretion. Typical office environment with infrequent direct exposure to the source of more than one disagreeable element during the day. Moderate work pressure. Pressure to meet established deadlines, but incumbents have control over the work pace. Sometimes there are interruptions to the workflow/pace that are imposed or controlled by others.
