POSITION TITLE: SENIOR MANAGER OF TRANSPORTATIONLOCATION: MISSISSAUGA, ONTARIOA well known and respected food distributor has an immediate opening for a Senior Manager of Transportation. Our client offers solid prospects for career advancement, opportunities for growth and development as well as a strong benefits package.As Senior Transportation Manager, you will be responsible for establishing transportation strategy, managing the RFP process, managing KPIs and carrier scorecards. You will also be responsible for setting up and managing budgets, and leading a strong team.The company does direct-to-store deliveries across Canada, so the transportation is quite complex. We are looking for someone experienced with TMS, who can set up and monitor KPIs. Experience managing outside carriers as well as exposure to private fleet is preferred.QUALIFICATIONS:5+ years of transportation management experience.Proven ability to bring value through strategic collaboration with a senior leadership team.Experienced managing both carrier relationships and/or private fleets.Tech-savvy, good with excel, experienced with transportation management systems, able to set up and monitor KPIs.Union experience and temperature control experience is a must.University Degree and professional designation CCLP (CITT) preferred.SALARY RANGE: $100,000 - $130,000 plus bonus and excellent benefits. Compensation will be commensurate with experience.EDUCATION: Bachelors Degree preferred. CCLP (CITT) or P.Log would be a definite asset.
