The Director of Finance is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing the organizations financial health and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. This position manages full-cycle accounting, financial reporting, accounting operations, management reporting, pricing strategies, and people leadership to support business growth and profitability. About the Opportunity Full Cycle Accounting - Oversee all aspects of the accounting cycle, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger. - Ensure timely month-end and year-end close processes. - Maintain compliance with GAAP/IFRS and internal policies. Financial Reporting - Prepare accurate and timely financial statements for internal and external stakeholders. - Coordinate audits and liaise with external auditors. - Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets. Accounting Operations - Lead and manage the accounting team to ensure efficient daily operations. - Implement process improvements to enhance accuracy and efficiency. - Oversee treasury functions, cash flow management, and banking relationships. Management Reporting - Provide executive leadership with insightful financial analysis and dashboards. - Develop KPIs and performance metrics to monitor business performance. - Support strategic decision-making with scenario planning and forecasting. Pricing & Profitability - Lead pricing strategy development to optimize margins and competitiveness. - Partner with sales, marketing, and operations to evaluate product/service profitability. - Conduct cost analysis and recommend adjustments to pricing models. People Management - Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing finance team. - Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. - Provide coaching, career development, and performance management for direct reports. - Align team goals with organizational objectives to drive results. About You - CPA, CFA, or equivalent professional designation preferred. - Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; MBA is an asset. - 10+ years of progressive finance and accounting experience, with at least 5 years in leadership. - Strong knowledge of GAAP/IFRS, financial systems, and ERP platforms. - Proven track record in people management and team development. - Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
