Job Description

We are currently looking for an experienced Director of Operations to oversee the day-to-day operations of The Great Canadian Landscaping Company Ltd.This position plays a pivotal role in leading the companys core divisions - Landscape Maintenance, Enhancements, Construction and Snow & Ice Management, ensuring operational excellence, efficiency, and profitability. The Director of Operations (DOS) will guide divisional managers, oversee project delivery and maintenance services, implement scalable systems that support continued growth and ensure outstanding client service.The ideal candidate is a strategic yet hands-on leader who thrives in a dynamic environment, has deep operational experience, and is motivated to mentor & train teams while driving performance and innovation.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide leadership and strategic direction across all operational divisions.Oversee day-to-day production, scheduling, and resource allocation.Standardize and optimize operational processes to enhance efficiency and quality.Develop, manage, and monitor divisional budgets and key performance metrics.Collaborate with Sales, HR, and senior leadership to ensure business alignment and cross-departmental communication.Support client relations by ensuring service excellence and addressing escalated concerns.Lead and mentor division managers, project managers, and field teams to achieve company goals.Drive continuous improvement, innovation, and team development initiatives.Ensure safety, environmental, and regulatory compliance across all worksites.QualificationsBachelors degree in Business Administration, Horticulture, Landscape Management, or related field.10+ years of progressive leadership experience in landscaping, construction, or related service industries.Proven success managing multi-million-dollar operations and diverse service lines.Experience implementing systems, managing budgets, and scaling operations.Strong financial acumen with knowledge of job costing and operational KPIs.Proficiency with operational and project management software (LMN, Aspire, or similar).Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.Valid Class 5 BC Drivers License.Job Type: Full-timeAbility to commute/relocate:North Vancouver, BC V7P 3H2: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)Why Work With Us:Competitive pay and paid time offA positive, team-focused work environmentCompany vehicle and phoneOn-site parkingCompany events and team activities throughout the yearComprehensive extended health and dental benefitsTuition reimbursement to support your professional developmentVision care and life insurance coverageCasual dress codeWe value reliability, teamwork, and people who take pride in their work.
