In this spirit of collaboration, RSI is seeking a highly skilled Junior Designer to join our team and contribute to the realization of sophisticated, high-end projects from concept to completion. Position Overview The Junior Designer will play an integral role in the creative and technical execution of architectural projects, contributing to all project phases from schematic design to construction documentation. The position demands an individual with exceptional technical proficiency, creative insight, and the ability to manage complex design workflows in a fast-paced professional environment. Key Responsibilities - Conduct detailed site measurements and prepare accurate existing condition drawings for residential and commercial projects. - Collaborate on concept development, schematic design, and preparation of construction drawings and specifications for ongoing projects. - Produce all finalized and interim documentation using Revit as the primary platform, ensuring precise coordination across all project phases. - Develop client presentation materials including 3D renderings, material palettes, models, and conceptual sketches using tools such as Twinmotion, Enscape, Photoshop, and InDesign. - Assist in project costing and procurement by obtaining supplier/subtrade quotes and performing material quantity take-offs. - Conduct site visits during construction to ensure fidelity between design documentation and construction execution; provide on-site design resolutions for unforeseen conditions. - Manage studio social media content, assist with internal communications, and contribute to the creative culture of the office. - Support day-to-day studio operations, including administrative tasks such as client correspondence and office organization. Qualifications and Skills - Minimum 1 year of professional experience in an architectural or design office environment. - Demonstrated proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD for drawing production and documentation. - Advanced skills in Photoshop, InDesign, Agisoft Metashape, Lightroom, and video editing software. - Experience with real-time rendering tools such as Twinmotion and Enscape. - Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel for costing and scheduling. - Proven ability to coordinate design information, manage multiple project tasks, and communicate effectively within a team environment. - A deep understanding of construction documentation standards and design detailing. - Exceptional visual communication skills and a strong design sensibility.
