Ciena Cares supports non-profit causes important to employees by matching employee financial contributions and dedicating time for volunteering.**How You Will Contribute:**You will be part of a team of hardware designers working on the design, implementation, and validation of complex printed circuit boards for next generation networking and optical platforms.* Under the mentorship of a senior engineer, you will be accountable for co-developing the hardware design of circuit packs.* You will analyze and select design alternatives based on cost, power, space and functional requirements.* You will oversee the detailed design and schematic capture of High-Speed Digital/Analog/Power Circuits as well as the CAD implementation of the PCB associated with the design.* You will ensure thorough validation of designs and interfaces against component and commercial requirements and participate in process change and improvement forums.* Youll play a key role in the documentation of functional specifications, test plans and reports and participate in multidisciplinary meetings to coordinate the efforts of FPGA designers, Manufacturing Engineers, Software Designers, Test Engineers, Verification Engineers, and others throughout the development phase.* **A sense of urgency** whats important to the customer is equally important to you. Please note that the pay range information provided in this posting pertains specifically to the primary location, which is the top location listed in case multiple locations are available.Non-Sales employees may be eligible for a discretionary incentive bonus, while Sales employees may be eligible for a sales commission.
