Position OverviewCalian is seeking Contract Recruiters to support a high-volume, early-career recruitment program focused on technical skillsets. This role supports a defined portion of the recruitment lifecycle, with responsibility for candidate sourcing, outreach, screening, pipeline management, and candidate guidance in a fast-paced, structured environment.Recruiters will work directly with candidates to understand their skills, experience, and interests, providing clear guidance on role alignment and next steps to help candidates pursue opportunities where they are best positioned to succeed. The role operates within established processes, tools, and performance expectations.This is a 12-month contract with potential for extension, subject to program requirements and performance.ResponsibilitiesConduct high-volume candidate sourcing using LinkedIn Recruiter and other approved channelsExecute structured candidate outreach and follow-up activitiesEngage with candidates to understand their backgrounds, strengths, and career interestsReview resumes and conduct initial candidate screening against established eligibility and skill criteriaBuild and maintain talent pipelines aligned to defined role profiles and intake prioritiesCollaborate with educational institutions and training programs to support early-career talent pipelinesProvide clear guidance to candidates on role suitability, expectations, and next steps within the programMaintain accurate, real-time candidate data in tracking tools and systemsUpdate candidate status, notes, and handoff indicators in accordance with program standardsManage trackers, documentation, and shared materialsWork toward defined sourcing, screening, and pipeline targets, with performance tracked through program metricsAdhere to defined recruitment processes, templates, and governanceFollow privacy, confidentiality, and information-handling requirementsEscalate issues, risks, or capacity constraints as requiredQualificationsExperience in high-volume recruitment or talent sourcingHands-on experience using LinkedIn RecruiterStrong proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, and OneDriveStrong organizational skills and attention to detailClear, inclusive written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work effectively in a structured, metrics-driven environmentExperience level may range from early-career to intermediate, with responsibilities aligned accordinglyMust be eligible to obtain Reliability (Level I) clearance with the Government of CanadaWillingness and ability to travel within Canada on an occasional, as-needed basisFamiliarity with or interest in the Canadian Armed Forces and related career pathways is considered an assetCompensation$62,000 $72,000, plus 3 weeks vacation, statutory holidays, and benefits.VacancyWe have 3 available positions.
