The Ideal Village Co-op located in Orleans is looking for a permanent Maintenance Worker to join its maintenance team. The ability to communicate in both official languages and a valid drivers license are prerequisites. The applicant will be a team player and a self-motivated, well organized individual responsible for the following duties: General repairs, such as drywall, flooring, roofing, etc. Eavestrough cleaning and repairs Minor plumbing, mechanical, and electrical repairs Exterior maintenance, such as grass cutting and snow removal Inspection and maintenance of equipment and operating systems The successful candidate will have the following qualifications: General handyman skills and the ability to complete quality repairs in a timely fashion Comfortable with heights for eavestrough repairs Excellent organizational skills Good communication skills Flexibility and the ability to respond to emergencies while on duty Hours of work: 30 hours per week, with the possibility of some additional hours as needed for snow removal during winter months.
