Senior Electrical Engineer Building ServicesLocations: Toronto, London, Kitchener, Kingston, Ontario (Hybrid)Salary Range: $125,000 $150,000Skyline Recruitment is currently working with a well-established consulting engineering firm to recruit a Senior Electrical Engineer with strong building services design experience across complex and regulated environments.This role is well suited to a senior electrical professional who enjoys hands-on technical leadership, mentoring junior staff, and delivering high-quality electrical designs across sectors such as healthcare, commercial, institutional, industrial, and multi-unit residential.Youll join a collaborative engineering environment that values technical excellence, accountability, and long-term career development, with flexibility to be based out of Toronto, London, Kitchener, or Kingston.The OpportunitySenior, technically focused role with real influence on project outcomesHybrid working model with multiple Ontario office optionsExposure to a wide range of complex electrical systems and project typesOpportunity to mentor and shape the growth of an established electrical teamKey ResponsibilitiesReview and stamp electrical designs of varying complexity and scaleLead electrical design strategies for complex building systems, including:Power distribution and generation systemsInterior and exterior lighting and lighting control systemsFire alarm systemsVoice/data, security, CCTV, public address, nurse call, and related systemsProvide technical leadership within the electrical teamLead audits, feasibility studies, investigations, and prepare technical reportsSupport the ongoing development of internal electrical design standardsMentor intermediate and junior engineers and designersTroubleshoot construction-phase electrical and control issuesCoordinate with clients, contractors, vendors, and other engineering disciplinesConduct site visits and provide construction-phase engineering supportIdeal BackgroundProfessional Engineer (P.Eng.) licensed in Ontario10+ years of electrical building systems design experienceStrong exposure to fire alarm and complex electrical systemsExperience troubleshooting on-site electrical and control issuesExposure to medium and/or high-voltage systems considered an assetStrong working knowledge of OBC, OESC, CSA, and related codesAt least 5 years of building design experience in CanadaStrong communication, leadership, and decision-making skillsProactive, organized, and comfortable working under deadlinesWhats OfferedCompetitive compensation aligned with senior-level experienceComprehensive benefits packagePerformance-based incentive compensationLong-term career growth within a stable consulting environment
