The successful candidate will have a great opportunity to learn a variety of tasks and achieve a good understanding of the full end to end accounting cycle. This includes regular interactions with our front-line brokers, clients and problem solving within our amazing Accounting team. Success in this role means meeting Accounting deadlines and service level targets while upholding Navacord's standards and guidelines.This is a hybrid role with the flexibility to work in-office (Vancouver, Victoria, or Courtenay) based on the needs of the role and/or as required be management.RESPONSIBILITIES:Daily contact with our external clients, dealership partners and internal brokers, covering a variety of Accounts Receivables and Payables tasksTroubleshooting gaps in current processes and implementing improvements with an eliminate, simplify, standardize, and automate mindsetMonthly General Ledger reconciliationsCross-train and act as backup on key Accounting tasksContributing to a positive team culture and supporting your coworkersOther jobs assigned by your managerREQUIREMENTS:Minimum 1 year experience in an Accounting related roleYou enjoy being part of a team with a mix of face-to-face and virtual interactionAbility to meet firm deadlines, under potential time pressureBuilding and maintaining relationships comes natural to youProven organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and adapt to changing work prioritiesYou have strong verbal and written communication skills, including experience having difficult conversationsTake initiative to identify and address issues or opportunities, solve problems and address conflictProven ability to work efficiently in Microsoft Excel with Pivot Tables and other formulas (VLOOKUP, SUMIF)Navacord is deeply committed to fostering a workplace that embraces diversity, equity, and inclusion. Compensation is determined by a combination of factors including a candidates experience, job-specific knowledge, and skills.
