Large general contractor is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee major design-build healthcare projects ($150m+). The ideal candidate has over 8 years of experience in project management within the construction industry. Responsibilities include developing and executing project plans and schedules, ensuring safety and quality standards, and meeting budgets, schedules, and scope objectives. Outpost Recruitment is partnering with our client to fill this full-time, permanent role. Responsibilities of Project Manager: 1. Provide comprehensive construction management from pre-construction to project completion, including design, coordination, budgeting, and scheduling in collaboration with the Superintendent. 2. Monitor, interpret, and forecast project cost reports to ensure alignment with estimates and maintain positive cash flow. 3. Lead project meetings with internal and external stakeholders to support team development and project progression. 4. Communicate professionally with Owners and Architects, addressing concerns and advocating for the project's best interests. 5. Collaborate with the project team to submit reports to Operations Leaders and communicate project status and risks to management. 6. Experience in Acute Healthcare Renovations and New Builds is required. 7. Thorough knowledge of construction technology, equipment, methods, company policies, procedures, standards, union jurisdiction, labor agreements, and negotiations. 8. Experience in post-secondary schools and student housing projects is a plus. 9. Excellent communication, organizational, supervisory, and planning skills are essential. Education & Experience: 1. Construction-related degree or diploma with ideally 8+ years of experience on ICI/healthcare projects or an equivalent combination of training and experience. 2. Knowledge of construction scopes, activities, scheduling, project and contract management. 3. Ability to mentor and delegate effectively to a large team while maintaining strong client relationships.
