At Honda of Canada Mfg., we value your expertise and offer a competitive package to ensure you thrive.What We Offer:Competitive Pay: Earn a standard rate of $51.19 per hour.Overtime Pay: Enjoy 1.5X pay after 8 hours and on Saturdays, and 2X pay on Sundays.Shift Premiums: Receive $2.55/hr for afternoon shifts and $5.12/hr for midnight shifts.Statutory Holiday Pay: Immediate eligibility for holiday pay.Team Achievement Bonus: Get rewarded twice a year for your hard work.Honda Associate Vehicle Program (HAVP): Weekly payroll deduction includes maintenance and insurance.Immediate Benefits: Enjoy medical and dental benefits from day one.Paid Shutdowns: Plus, receive lieu days if you work during shutdowns.Work Schedule:Support shift work with a rotating schedule: 2 weeks on days, afternoons, and midnights.If you're ready to take your career to the next level and enjoy these fantastic benefits, apply now and become a part of our dynamic team!DutiesResolve equipment issues through Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and countermeasure (CM) implementationDevelop and close downtime reportsPerform preventative maintenance (PM) checks, including equipment condition monitoring and in-process PMsDocument daily activities: equipment changes, downtime calls, work orders (WO), investigations, and CM resultsCommunicate work order (WO) feedback, participate in production meetings, review WO backlog, and coordinate activities with other shiftsSupport business themes or project-based improvementsEngage in continuous self-driven learning: self-teaching, equipment understanding, and creating/sharing technical documentationWork preparation, assess line conditions, communicate, develop testing plans, and stage partsMaintain cleanliness of work areas, tool cribs, machine workstations, and office areasSource spare parts: obtain quotes, negotiate with vendors, and clarify part specificationsComplete incident reports as required by the departmentNew equipment specification review and support (risk assessments, commissioning checks, Genba reviews)RequirementsIndustrial Electrician (442A) trade license OR 309A Construction Maintenance (309A) trade license OR Post-secondary Electrical/Electro-Mechanical Engineering Technologist graduate with a minimum of 3 years of related work experienceMicrosoft Office skills, including Excel, Word, and PowerPointDemonstrated ability to communicate, both verbally and in writing, with team members, contractors, and vendors to coordinate and complete projects and activitiesRobot troubleshooting, manipulation and programming experience (Fanuc and Yaskawa)Motion control knowledge, including Servo and Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs)Excellent mechanical aptitude, including knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors, and transfer equipmentEffectively utilize measurement equipment to diagnose and troubleshoot equipment failures (e.g., Scope, Digital Multimeter (DMM)Ability to interpret and troubleshoot electrical schematics and ladder diagramsKnowledge of PLC and Safety PLC systems, with experience in ladder logic programming, particularly with Mitsubishi and or Allen Bradley systemsExperience with Maximo Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS) for logging maintenance activity and ordering partsEvaluation of production lines to identify spare parts and preventative maintenance requirementsProject management experience (ability to manage contractors and construction projects)Equipment integration experience that includes installation, setup, troubleshooting and commissioningJoin our team as an Electrician, where your expertise will contribute significantly to our operational success!AODAHonda is committed to providing accommodation in its recruitment processes to applicants with disabilities, upon request.
