Together, were building a better futureresponsibly, inclusively, and with purpose.About the JobWe are hiring a Junior Subcontract Administrator to step into a new role for our Contracts team on the Ontario Line Project (RSSOM) This position reports to the Subcontracts Manager.What You Will Be Doing?Draft, proofread, and issue contractual letters, notices, and formal correspondence to the Subcontractors.Assist in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating subcontract terms and conditions, ensuring alignment with overarching contracts.Assist in contractual and legal research on relevant topics, particularly related to the Construction Act of Ontario.Contribute to the review of flow-down of obligations, liabilities, risks and performance milestones from the overarching agreements to the SubcontractorsAssist in ensuring the Subcontractors compliance with contractual obligations during performance of the scope of work by SubcontractorsLiaise with multiple cross-functional team members for topics related to claims, changes and disputes.Maintain detailed records for claims, changes and dispute management.Update and maintenance of the correspondence log with the subcontractors.Participate in the Subcontract kick off meetings and other review meetings.Conduct specific meetings with the subcontractors to resolve key contractual issues and prepare minutes of meetings with agreed action items.Maintain excellent relationships with internal stakeholders and the SubcontractorsExpedite Change Management process by liaising with multiple cross function team members to ensure timely preparation of Change Orders and Change Directives.Ensure appropriate and accurate contractual correspondence with subcontractors, including preparation of minutes of meeting on Contractual matters, disputes and performance issues.Assist in identification and tracking of all contractual deliverables including bonds, reports and insurance certificates and insurance claims etc.Coordinate with designated staff on operational activities affecting contractual rights and obligations, subcontract performance, subcontract administration and other key matters.Identifiy and implement of record keeping validating potential ChangesAssist in maintenance of change management/issue logs and provision of summary reportsMaintain excellent relationships with internal stakeholders and the subcontractors.Other responsibilities include but are not limited to:Participate in the Subcontract kick off meetings and other review meetings.Ability to understand and interface on complex issues with Construction team members at project site and in office, as required.Resolve submitted and potential change ordersSchedule monitoring of key milestonesExpedite Subcontract Agreement closeout processCompensationSuccessful candidates chosen for this position can expect to earn between $75,000.00 CAD - $80,000 CAD.
