Brief Role Description The incumbent will lead the Credit team, responsible for reviewing and analysing retail and lease financing requests. The role includes coaching and supporting team members to ensure ownership and adherence to corporate risk standards and policies, while delivering exceptional service to dealers and brand partners. Key Responsibilities Manage and coordinate all team activities and ensure that workload is distributed effectively Establish individual performance objectives supporting corporate objectives related to risk management and customer satisfaction Collaborate with Human Resources on selecting, hiring, and training new employees Foster professional development of team members based on individual and organizational needs Ensure that department activities comply with policies and regulations by completing monthly reviews Actively seek ways to improve current processes to meet customer and dealer expectations and market requirements Collaborate and support other departments such as Risk and Fraud to mitigate risk exposure Partner with Sales and Field teams to resolve dealer and customer issues Lead efforts on key strategic initiatives that support ease of doing business for customers and dealers Act as a budget custodian to ensure department funds are managed and vendor invoices are paid promptly Education Postsecondary diploma required University degree preferred (Business Management/Finance or related fields) Experience 5 to 7 years of finance/payment experience required (including credit authorisation and customer service) Minimum 3 years of personnel management experience required Experience in auto financing an asset Skills Excellent communication skills interpersonal, presentation, and written (French & English) Strong analytical and negotiation skills Ability to read financial statements Good knowledge of Canadian consumer protection and fair credit laws/regulations Proficiency in Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Business Objects Knowledge of accounting principles an asset Work Schedule Availability to work a flexible schedule from Monday to Saturday when needed Availability for occasional travel as per business requirements Volkswagen Financial Services is committed to diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
