Human Resources Generalist (Permanent) Locations: Victoria, BC; Winnipeg, MB; Ottawa, ON; Halifax, NS Expected Salary: $57,508 to $71,885 per annum Job Summary Babcock is an international defence company providing support and product solutions to enhance our customers defence capabilities and critical assets. As a Human Resources Generalist, you will help ensure that Canadas critical services and assets are readily available, reliable and capable for our defence and civil customers and contribute to Babcocks purpose: Creating a safe and secure world, together. Responsibilities Support professional employees located throughout Canada. Coach and support management in areas of leadership development, performance and talent management, change management, employee engagement, HR and communication. Collaborate with hiring managers and HR Business Partners on recruitment activities and develop strategies to address recruitment challenges. Provide support to the Talent Acquisition area during Coop recruitments. Participate in the design, review, development and delivery of programs and processes such as orientation, onboarding, performance management, engagement, and annual leadership and skills development reviews. Ensure legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable HR legislative requirements. Contribute to the continuous process improvement of the HR team and Business Unit by influencing HR strategies, policies and methods. Complete compensation assessments for new hires and internal employee changes. Draft internal Change of Terms letters. Conduct lowrisk investigations using curiosity and critical thinking. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Diploma/degree in Human Resources or related field. CHRP/CPHR professional designation is an asset. Minimum of three (3) years of relevant HR experience. Experience in the Marine or Aviation Industry or military is preferred. Experience supporting HR business solutions for a wide range of customers. Experience in supporting endtoend recruitment lifecycle is an asset. Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and professionally to a variety of customers via all means of communication. Strong attention to detail and ability to produce quality results in a timely manner. Eligible for a Canadian Secret Security and ITAR Clearance.
