We are looking for a Senior Accountant to join our team. Responsibilities Compilation and review of client information and working paper file preparation Year-end planning for various clients Supervising engagements and related tax filings within a paperless office environment Completion of assurance engagements with teams of 1 4 team members Identification of KPIs through technology Identifying and resolving engagement issues Training and mentoring junior staff on engagements Preparation of Notice to Reader and Review Engagement reports Preparation of personal tax returns Ensuring client satisfaction with the firms services Providing timely, high-quality client service that meets or exceeds expectations Identifying and cultivating new service or tax planning opportunities for clients What you bring to the table A college or university degree in Accounting, Finance or Business A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in public accounting or a similar finance role CPA designation or in progress would be considered a strong asset Experience managing large engagements Tech savvy; proven technical skills in accounting In-depth working knowledge of accounting and tax Sound working knowledge of accounting principles Advanced accounting, tax, and software knowledge, i.e.: Tax Prep, CaseWare, Sage and QuickBooks Advanced working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) Leadership qualities such as active listening, empathy, clear communication, strategic thinking, creativity, inspirational and flexible collaboration Demonstrated team-building skills Highly analytical and accurate with strong attention to detail Strong work ethic, thrives on challenges Strong time-management and ability to work independently in a high-volume environment Ability to handle multiple priorities effectively Passion for client service Excellent written and verbal communication skills Willingness to continually expand professional skill set and adapt to a dynamic environment Flexibility to work overtime during peak periods; overtime will be paid or recorded as in-lieu time Whats in it for you?
