The successful candidate will be a key fulltime member of our environmental team, drawing on support from more than 45 environmental professionals across the company.What Youll DoComplete all stages of environmental studies from proposal preparation through data collection, interpretation, and reporting.Coordinate and execute baseline studies to characterize the natural environment within project spatial and temporal boundaries.Assess environmental impacts from proposed infrastructure and develop solutions compliant with regulatory requirements across all levels of government.Provide environmental advice and solutions to guide engineering designs in accordance with applicable mitigation hierarchies.Design and implement terrestrial and aquatic habitat mitigation and compensation measures.Coordinate regulatory permitting for WSA Change Approvals, DFO Project Reviews, Fisheries Act Authorizations, and fish and wildlife salvages.Perform field work including biological inventories, environmental assessments, bird nest surveys, fish and wildlife salvages, and environmental monitoring during construction.Mentor junior staff on technical work, report writing, and interpretation.Coordinate or oversee environmental management and monitoring during project construction phases.What Youll BringQualified Environmental Professional (QEP) designation in good standing in British Columbia or ability to obtain it within 3 months.47 years of experience with proposal preparation, habitat assessments, permitting, and reporting.Proven field experience in environmental monitoring, fish, amphibian, or wildlife work (e.g., bird surveys).Independent work ethic and ability to mentor junior team members.Experience liaising with clients, First Nations, and government agencies.Proficiency with GIS, ArcMap, mobile data collection, or data management is an asset.BenefitsCompensation: Salary range $72,000$107,000 per annum, commensurate with experience.WorkLife Harmony: Flexible hours.Comprehensive Benefits: Maternity and parental leave topup program, health and dental coverage, RRSP matching, Employee & Family Assistance Program.Safe & Inclusive Workplace: Culture of respect and inclusion.Career Development: Dues reimbursement, educational assistance, mentorship programme, workshops, committee involvement.Career Progression: Support and mentorship to shape a career path.Safety Sensitive PositionThis role is designated as a safetysensitive position.Equity, Diversity, and InclusionWe are committed to fostering diversity, equity, and inclusion.
