Pinchin is seeking a Project Technologist to join our Hazardous Materials team in our Tilbury office.Reporting to the Project Manager, the Project Technologist will conduct effective worker exposure and workplace monitoring, safety inspections and audits. You will assist in developing various types of hygiene, health and safety documentation, prepare technical reports and liaise with clients to ensure their needs and goals are met.A Day in the life of a Project Technologist at Pinchin:Conduct site investigations asbestos, mould, mercury, PCBs, lead etc.Collect and interpret various building material samplesConduct field work, including visits to sites and supervise remediation activitiesCoordinate and supervise sub-contractorsInterpret and analyze sample results in relation to legislative requirements and industry-accepted guidelinesPrepare detailed reports documenting findings and providing recommendations to address hazardous building material concernsInspect abatement contractors undertaking mould, asbestos and other hazardous materials remediation work to document that the work has been properly completedCollect and analyze Phase Contract Microscope (PCM) asbestos air samplesManage time of projects effectively and efficientlyLiaise with clients and sub-contractors to ensure health, safety and hygiene needs are addressed and metDevelop and maintain positive client relationshipsMaintain and enhance quality control within the groupWhat You Bring To The Pinchin TeamCollege diploma in Environmental, Construction or Architectural Technology, or Bachelor of Science or Applied Science in Engineering or equivalentFamiliarity with building systems (structure, envelope, HVAC, electrical, plumbing etc.)Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook)Exceptional oral and written communication skillsSelf-directed and matureExcellent organizational skillsHigh attention to detailValid drivers license, insurance and a personal vehicle requiredAvailability to travel to clients sites (short-term work-related travel)Availability to work outside of core business hours and on occasional weekendsWhats In It For YouOf course, we offer competitive salaries and great benefits, but what makes Pinchin stand out from the crowd?
