Pinchin is seeking a Project Technologist to join our Building Science & Sustainability team in our Calgary office.Building Science & SustainabilityCalgary, ABReporting to the Team Leader, the Project Technologist will be involved in the fastpaced world of baseline property condition assessments, conducting site visits and inspections along with deficiency reporting and costing analysis.The successful candidate will demonstrate sound knowledge and understanding of building systems, including general knowledge of structure, building enclosures, mechanical and electrical systems, roofing systems, interior elements, site features, etc.A Day in the Life of a Project Technologist at PinchinReview and complete noninvasive assessments of existing buildings and structures (roof assemblies, exterior cladding assemblies, balcony assemblies, fenestrations and parking garage structures) to determine design and remedial work optionsPrepare written reports of findings, summarizing, collating and interpreting the results of field data and creating costing spreadsheetsCarry out all necessary quantity takeoffs and measurements over the course of a project to be incorporated into reportingConduct baseline property condition assessments in accordance with the ASTM standards and best construction practices at various client sitesCapital planning as it relates to baseline property condition assessmentsMaintain QA/QC protocolsMaintain health and safety protocols as well as quality control within the groupPerform any other jobrelated duties that may be assignedAdditional You May Be Asked To Assist WithConducting invasive building reviews and testing (e.g., roof cut tests, water/air leakage testing, etc.)Provide support in the development of designs and specifications for restoration projectsCarry out construction reviews to ensure quality standards and design requirements are achieved for restoration projectsWhat You Bring To The Pinchin TeamCollege Diploma in Building Science, Architectural Technology / Science, Civil Engineering Technology.
