Reporting to a Team Lead, this role involves working with a multi-disciplinary team to develop design solutions from proposal stage through to constructed projects across various sectors, with a significant client-facing component.What Youll DoCollaborate on a team to provide technical solutions for medium to large projects under the supervision of a Senior EngineerPerform engineering calculations and assessments for steel, concrete, timber, and masonry structures under supervisionPerform calculations using design software and finite element modelling with a solid understanding of basic principlesDemonstrate capabilities in seismic design with knowledge of BCBC and NBC; grow these skills over timeWork collaboratively in multidisciplinary projectsContribute to accurate and efficient project deliverables to high standardsAssist in preparation of detail drawings, sections, standard details, and specifications to ensure quality deliveryWrite technical reports with supervision of a Senior EngineerConduct field reviews, inspections, and condition assessmentsDevelop innovative and elegant solutions for new and existing structuresApproach projects with curiosity and a client-centric mindsetPromote diversity and inclusion in the work environment and in design processesAdvance computational design and interactions between graphical and analytical structural modelsOccasional travel within Canada for project-related work, site assessments, and site supportAbout YouBachelors or Masters Degree in Structural EngineeringEligibility to register as a P.Eng. with EGBC within the next year3+ years of Structural Engineering experienceComputational design skills, with proficiency in Etabs, SAP2000, RAM and/or Robot; familiarity with Dynamo, Grasshopper is a bonusDesign experience on diverse project types including institutional, healthcare, science, transportation, industrial, or private sector commercial or residentialExcellent organizational and technical writing skillsValid drivers license is an assetCompensationExpected Salary (all locations): $78,600 to 108,100.
