Job Summary:The Senior Healthcare Space Planner will be responsible for developing and implementing space planning strategies for healthcare facilities, ensuring efficient and functional use of space to meet the needs of patients, staff, and visitors.The ideal candidate will have a strong background in space planning, healthcare design, and a deep understanding of healthcare regulations and standards in Canada.Key Responsibilities:Collaborate with healthcare clients and project teams to understand space requirements and project objectivesDevelop space planning strategies and concepts for healthcare facilities, including hospitals, clinics, and medical officesConduct space utilization studies and analyze data to optimize space efficiency and functionalityPrepare space plans, layouts, and diagrams using AutoCAD or other relevant softwareEnsure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards, including infection control, accessibility, and patient safetyCoordinate with architects, engineers, and other design professionals to integrate space planning with architectural and engineering systemsLead and participate in meetings with clients, stakeholders, and project teams to present space plans and gather feedbackAssist in the development of project budgets and schedules related to space planning activitiesProvide expertise and guidance to junior space planning staff membersStay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to healthcare space planningQualifications:Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or a related field7+ years of experience in space planning, with a focus on healthcare facilitiesStrong knowledge of healthcare regulations and standards in CanadaProficiency in space planning software and design tools, such as AutoCAD and RevitFamiliarity with building codes and accessibility requirements for healthcare facilitiesExcellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate space planning concepts to clients and project teamsStrong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesAbility to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environmentUnderstanding of healthcare operations and workflow to inform space planning decisionsLEED certification or knowledge of sustainable design principles is a plusInternal Job Code: PL-HP-04Salary Range: $105,000 - $130,000 / AnnuallySeniority level: Mid-Senior levelEmployment type: Full-timeJob function: Health Care ProviderIndustries: Internet Publishing #J-18808-Ljbffr
