Together, we are EXP.Are you ready to design your future?Your work environment at EXPIn this role, you will be a part of the Transportation sector and will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects.What a day at EXP has in store for youLead and/or assist with analysis and design efforts in the following areas:Road safety reviews and audits, which may include:Collision analysisHSM methodologyCountermeasure identificationNetwork screeningRoad safety data analysisHuman factors considerationComplete operational reviewsProficient in use of Synchro softwareFamiliarity with VISSIM is desirableArrange site visits and data collectionDesign of traffic operations devices and facilities, including:Pavement markings and signsTraffic signals designTraffic management plans for roadway and infrastructure projectsAccesses and intersections, complete streets, traffic calming etc.Active transportation facilities, including Pedestrian CrossoversIntroduction of innovative technologies and toolsPolicy development for all levels of road authoritiesPrepare technical reports, presentations, and client communicationsAssist with Transportation Group project management and business development:Project proposalsTask delivery, budget management and quality controlLead small projects/tasks independentlySupervise the work of junior team membersMake a positive contribution to the overall team culture and environmentWhat your experience looks likeBachelors degree in civil engineering with 10+ years of related experience specializing in Traffic/TransportationP. Eng. designation with PEO is requiredProven ability to learn and adapt software, such as transportation modeling, GIS, AutoCAD and innovative new applicationsExperience includes applying and interpreting related legislation and technical documentation, including the ITE Trip Generation Manual, the TAC Geometric Design Guide, the Ontario Traffic Manual and the Ontario Highway Traffic ActExperience in the application of specialized traffic assessment and/or design software, particularly Synchro, VISSIM, AIMSUM and AutoTURN, etc.Experience determining Transportation Demand Management elements and assessing/ improving active transportation facilitiesProficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite and AutoCADStrong analytical, problem solving and decision-making skillsExcellent written and oral communicationAttention to detailDemonstrated ability to perform individually or as a member of project teamsEffective time management skills with the ability to manage concurrent projects, proposals and/or prioritiesITE Canada membership desiredValid Ontario drivers license (minimum G2)EXP subscribes to the Workplace Equity Program.
