Your role Prepare engineering design calculations for structural systems involving steel, reinforced concrete and masonry elements as per the relevant CSA Standards and applicable codes. Perform structural analysis, seismic qualification and assessment, structural design, and ageing management. Analyze structural systems and elements as required using ANSYS, SAP2000, STAAD Pro, SSASI and other structural programs. Support engineers in the preparing design documents and compiling engineering packages. Develop conceptual design, preliminary design and detailed design. Prepare technical specification documents. Compliance with applicable QA procedures and being responsible for producing quality work. About You Civil Engineering degree from an accredited University; a master's degree and above is an asset. Eligible for P.Eng License, preferably registered as an EIT. Minimum 35 years of structural analysis and design experience in steel and concrete structures is preferred; solid knowledge of underlying engineering principles and practices is required. Mastery of at least one commercial FEA software such as STAAD Pro, SAP2000, ANSYS, LSDYNA or equivalent. Working knowledge of NBCC, CSA and other applicable industry codes and standards. Knowledge of CANDU nuclear structures, systems and equipment will be an asset. Ability to work in an everchanging environment with conflicting priorities.
