Job Description

Overview The Maintenance Team Lead will oversee a team of 6 across 3 locations, ensuring that all machinery and plant systems are maintained in top working condition. This role is a blend of leadership and handson technical work, ideal for someone skilled in both mechanical and electrical maintenance who enjoys guiding others and optimizing plant performance. Key Responsibilities Mechanical / Millwright Duties Lead, schedule, and mentor to support production operations. Perform troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance on conveyors, saws, motors, hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical drive systems. Oversee installation, alignment, and commissioning of new machinery and equipment. Implement and manage preventive maintenance programs through the CMMS. Fabricate or modify mechanical components as required (welding, machining, fitting). Ensure compliance with all mechanical safety and maintenance procedures. Electrical Duties Troubleshoot and repair industrial electrical systems, including motors, control circuits, sensors, relays, VFDs, and lighting. Support and supervise PLCcontrolled equipment, assisting with fault diagnosis and minor logic changes (AllenBradley, Siemens, etc.). Read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams for repair and modification work. Ensure compliance with Ontario Electrical Code and company safety standards. Assist in electrical installations, including wiring of motors, control panels, and automation systems. Maintain proper documentation of electrical drawings, load data, and control logic updates. Work collaboratively with licensed electricians on more complex electrical or automation issues. Leadership & Administrative Assign and monitor daily maintenance tasks using the CMMS. Track maintenance KPIs such as MTTR, PM completion, and downtime reduction. Support training and development of all maintenance staff. Collaborate with operations, engineering, and safety teams to improve reliability and performance. Lead and participate in rootcause analysis (RCA) for recurring equipment failures. Promote a strong safety culture through regular inspections, coaching, and toolbox talks. Qualifications Minimum of 5 years of industrial maintenance experience with at least 2 years in a lead or supervisory role. Familiar with PLCs, drives, sensors, and control systems. Proficient in CMMS software. Excellent leadership, problemsolving, and communication skills. Solid understanding of workplace safety standards (LOTO, WHMIS, working at heights, confined space). Ability to work in a fastpaced manufacturing environment and manage multiple priorities. #J-18808-Ljbffr
