Position Senior Mechanical Designer - Heavy Material Handling Equipment Job Type Permanent Education Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering Minimum 10+ years of Custom and/or Out-of-the-box design Available portfolio for presentation P.Eng registration preferred but not manditory Duties / Responsibilities Prepare detailed design calculations and analysis of mechanical equipment for the Steel Industry. Prepare technical and other project specifications. Coordinate mechanical design work with that performed by other engineering disciplines. Be capable, if the need arises, to coordinate and direct the work of a small group of mechanical designers and draftspersons. Prepare proposals, feasibility studies, reports, and preliminary designs. Prepare detailed design calculations, conceptual layouts, and sketches. Develop initial concepts into final designs, which would include preparing detail drawings, assemblies, bills of material, etc. Investigate field problems, and prepare reports. Provide on-site technical support during major machinery installations. Provide support to the sales team when visiting customers. Provide technical guidance to co-workers. #J-18808-Ljbffr
