The Canadian Light Source is looking for an Electrical Engineer and a Mechanical Engineer to join our Engineering team. Our Engineering group supports the technical design, implementation, and maintenance of systems in our facility. We would love the chance to talk to qualified candidates who are interested in doing work that supports research at an international level. The new Mechanical Engineer will focus on the operations and maintenance of hydronic and HVAC systems as well as planning and design for future expansions. The new Electrical Engineer will work on design of our electrical power distribution, motion control of precision equipment, and PLC based control systems. The Engineering team participates in many aspects of synchrotron design, modernization, operations, and maintenance. Our Engineers work in a collaborative with other professionals and apply their skills to projects that involve the full scope of work from design through to maintenance.
