Registered Nurse - Shift Nursing (overnights)Job Category: NursesRequisition Number: REGIS001023Apply nowPosted : August 7, 2025Part-TimeOn-siteLocationsShowing 1 locationDescriptionAcclaim Health announces the availability of a Casual Shift RN position to work overnight shifts ranging from 8 to 12 hour in duration in the Halton Area (Burlington, Oakville, Milton, Georgetown) including Mississauga. This position requires the individual to work a minimum of two shifts a week, as well as 1:4 weekends in addition to a statutory holiday rotation. Pay range: $35.90 - $39.20 per hourPRIMARY FUNCTIONS:Provide shift nursing care to individuals in a community setting.Meets the health needs of the patient/family through the provision of nursing care.Develops, implements, evaluates, and modifies the plan of care outlining the strategies, orders and actions to achieve expected/desired outcomes.Assesses the health status of the client using a holistic care approachProvides palliative care through end of lifeProvides nursing interventions to the full scope of practiceAdministers IV therapy including central line and peripheral line maintenance.Administers medications topically through natural body orifices, through tubes and by injections.Provides wound care, acute and chronic, for certain types and stages of wounds.Attends team meetings as required.POSITION REQUIREMENTS:Current registration with the CNOPalliative Care education including Fundamentals of Palliative Care, Pain and Symptom Management and CAPCE is an asset1 2 years of experience in providing palliative careExperience with CADD PCA pumpsTracheotomy and ventilation experience an assetCurrent CPR certificateExcellent interpersonal, communication and teaching skillsValid driver's license and access to a vehicleAcclaim Health is an equal opportunity employer and is actively working towards a more inclusive, diverse and equitable world.
