Sr Cloud DB & Storage Architect Rogers Communications Join our Technology team that connects Canadians to the people and things that matter most. Who We're Looking For As a Senior Cloud Database and Storage Architect, you will work with internal customers to migrate database environments to the public cloud, architecting complex, scalable, and secure database solutions tailored to each customers needs. Key responsibilities include: Designing and implementing complex, scalable, and secure database solutions. Providing technical guidance and troubleshooting support throughout project delivery. Collaborating with stakeholders to gather requirements and propose migration strategies. Acting as a trusted advisor on industry trends and emerging technologies. Mentoring, training, and creating reusable artifacts. Implementing storagebased solutions including Block, File, and Object storage, SAN connectivity, backup, disaster, and cyber recovery. What You Bring 10+ years of IT experience; 35 years with at least two public clouds (AWS, Azure, GCP, OCI). Database expertise: SQL and NoSQL administration; experience with Oracle, Postgres, SQL Server, Cosmos, DynamoDB. Release management experience coordinating builds through development, QA, UAT, and production. Handson experience with CI/CD tools and practical implementations. Strong understanding of Scrum/Agile methodology and experience on Scrum teams. Knowledge of networking, firewalls, load balancers, and best practices for alwayson IT operations. Proven experience designing backup, storage, and disaster recovery solutions with vendor tools. Familiarity with data protection, encryption, and legal backup/retention requirements. Excellent technical, analytical, and communication skills; ability to work independently and collaboratively. Bachelors degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience; strong documentation and technical writing skills. Whats in it for you? Competitive salary and annual bonus.
