Company Description Ferrovial Construction Canada Inc. and VINCI Construction Grands Projets are designing, building and financing the Ontario Line Southern Civil, Stations and Tunnel (South Civil) package. Working together as Ontario Transit Group we are currently mobilizing our design and construction crews, with major works to commence in 2023. The South Civil contract is anticipated to be completed in 2030. The project will strengthen Ontarios economy by supporting an estimated 1,500 jobs at the peak of construction. What is the project? A six-kilometer tunnel and associated tunnelling works from Exhibition to Don Yard portal (west of the Don River) Stations: One above-ground station to be integrated with the existing GO Transit Exhibition Station Two underground stations to be integrated with the existing TTC Osgoode and Queen subway stations Four new underground stations (King/Bathurst, Queen/Spadina, Moss Park, Corktown) The Benefits to Ontario Faster, more frequent and reliable access to rapid transit for more than 227,500 people who will live within a 10minute walk of an Ontario Line station. Improve the quality of life for commuters by reducing daily travel time Reduce crowding on the existing Line 1 (YongeUniversity) subway Up to 57,000 more jobs accessible by transit (in 45 minutes or less) for Toronto residents Economic and community growth along the future transit line and thousands of job opportunities annually during construction Reduction in traffic congestion, greenhouse gases and fuel consumption by providing an alternative transportation option Job Description The Senior Subcontractor Coordinator provides disciplinespecific coordination in subcontract administration of engineered equipment, site works, professional services, and permanent plant materials. This role manages a staff of field subcontract administrators while interfacing with project procurement, project control, finance, and operations groups. Key Responsibilities Serve as a subjectmatter expert by providing authoritative guidance for one or more disciplines, managing a comprehensive pool of subcontracts and ensuring strategic alignment with project objectives. Administer complex contracts and oversee all agreements with suppliers, vendors, and representatives, ensuring compliance and optimal performance. Lead subcontract planning by developing and executing detailed subcontract administration plans to support project delivery. Act as the primary point of accountability for all disciplinespecific subcontract matters, driving clarity and efficiency. Ensure contract compliance and monitor and enforce adherence to contract provisions, supporting contract handlers with drafting and managing correspondence. Manage change orders and claims, oversee preparation of change orders, claims identification, and ensure timely resolution. Oversee subcontract payment processes, including approvals, to maintain accuracy and timeliness. Address and resolve subcontractor grievances and claims promptly, maintaining strong relationships and minimizing risks. Conduct thorough reviews of subcontractor claims and contracts to ensure alignment with project policies and standards. Champion subcontracting policies and procedures across the project team, ensuring consistent compliance and best practices. Qualifications A bachelors degree (masters preferred) in business, engineering, supply chain management, construction management or equivalent field and/or a minimum of 510 years of experience in engineering and/or construction. Knowledge of equipment and materials common in Design and Build projects. Knowledge of Canadian construction industry and Ontario Construction Act. Effective timemanagement and organizational skills. Ability to perform multiple tasks efficiently and accurately. Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills. Team player with the ability to work independently to meet fixed deadlines, goals and objectives. Proficient in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel) and general knowledge of database utilization. Ability to lead teams of two to three administrators, provide feedback and assist in employee development objectives. Detail-oriented and highly motivated with the ability to manage time effectively.
