Base pay range CA$50.00/hr - CA$55.00/hr Your Opportunity to Shape Whats Next Reporting to the Director, Health, Safety and Wellbeing - Education, Culture, and Applied Services, the Project Manager, Health, Safety & Wellbeing (HSW) will serve as an overseer and strategic facilitator for HSW initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities and best practices. This role provides highlevel guidance, oversight, and support for the successful delivery of HSW projects, working closely with project teams to monitor progress, identify risks, and champion process improvements. The Project Manager will foster collaboration, promote continuous learning, and ensure that all projects adhere to established frameworks. How Youll Make an Impact Provide strategic oversight and highlevel guidance for Health, Safety & Wellbeing (HSW) projects, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities and standards. Monitor project portfolios and progress, identifying risks, gaps, and opportunities for improvement, and advising project teams accordingly. Facilitate crossfunctional collaboration and stakeholder engagement, ensuring effective communication and coordination across departments. Champion best practices, process improvements, and compliance with organizational frameworks, without direct management of individuals. Prepare and present summary reports, recommendations, and insights to leadership and key stakeholders. Mentor and coach team members to foster professional growth and a culture of continuous learning. Support the refinement of project methodologies and specialized service delivery, ensuring consistency and quality across HSW initiatives. Serve as a resource for resolving escalated issues and providing expert advice on project governance. Strengths and Expertise Project management certification (e.g., PMP, CAPM, or equivalent). Postsecondary degree in business, health, safety, or a related discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum five (5) years of relevant experience in project oversight and governance, preferably within health, safety, or wellbeing environments. Demonstrated experience providing highlevel guidance, monitoring project portfolios, and advising on risk mitigation and process improvement. Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools (e.g., MS Teams, SharePoint). Strong analytical, organizational, and problemsolving skills, with the ability to synthesize information and provide actionable recommendations. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with experience facilitating collaboration across diverse teams. Proven ability to mentor, coach, and support professional development. Knowledge of relevant legislation, standards, and best practices in health, safety, and wellbeing is considered an asset. Work is primarily performed in a remote environment, with occasional inperson collaboration or meetings as required. The position involves regular use of a computer, digital tools, and standard office equipment. Some flexibility in hours may be required during peak activity periods to meet operational needs.
