Senior Mechanical Designer (Layout) A Senior Mechanical Designer (Layout) will produce high quality, costeffective, detailed 3D designs and general arrangement drawings. The role supports the Principal Designer, Lead Discipline Design Engineer or Project Lead Engineer, and requires strong proficiency in 3D MicroStation (and preferably OBD) and adherence to Lycopodiums CAD procedures. Responsibilities Use 3D MicroStation and other approved CAD tools to design and detail mechanical plant layouts. Supervise up to three subordinate personnel. Produce design drawings consistent with industry standards and compliant with Lycopodium drawing office and CAD procedures. Work within the projectdefined budget of manhours for deliverables. Check design drawings as required. Demonstrate a sound understanding of fabrication and construction techniques. Maintain communication and teamwork, contributing to a positive working environment. Commit to continued professional development. Qualifications Proficiency in Bentley 3D MicroStation. Approved diploma in Engineering Design Drafting of the discipline or equivalent industry experience (minimum 5 years). Consistently deliver designs and solutions within milestone dates and at a high standard of accuracy. Ability to manage a drafting team and meet budgeted manhours and milestone deliverables. High technical knowledge of mineralprocessing designs across various commodities. Broad understanding of mineralprocessing technology and related engineering fields. Computer skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Proficiency in other proprietary software relevant to the engineering discipline. Excellent command of the English language and reportwriting skills. Strong interpersonal and practical design problemsolving skills. Commitment to continued professional development.
