The Centre for Independent Living (CILT) is a non-profit, community-based resource organization run by people with disabilities, for people with disabilities. We operate on the philosophy of the Independent Living Movement which affirms the right of persons with disabilities to control their own lives and live independently.CILT runs the provincial Direct Funding (DF) Program (), an innovative program that allows individuals with disabilities to become employers of their own personal care attendants. As a self-managed model of attendant services, participants on the program receive funds that allow them to recruit and hire their own staff to assist with routine activities of daily living.To support a new two-year modernization project, we have created a number of new roles:Two Regional Resource FacilitatorsA Senior Community FacilitatorAn Interview Eligibility AdvisorA Project Manager(if you are interested in more than one of the four roles listed above, please only apply to one of the roles and in your cover letter, list the other role(s) that you are interested in)The Project Manager oversees implementation of recommendations from the DF Program Review which aims to enhance program operations and service delivery. This role develops and maintains a project plan and collaborates with stakeholders to ensure that all specified changes and improvements are executed effectively and within the designated resources.Reporting to the Senior Manager, DF, and working closely with the DF manager team, you will:1. Streamline Application and Waitlist ManagementDevelop RFPs and lead vendor selection to automate the DF application process and launch a learning management system to increase efficiency and effectiveness of onboarding applicantsOversee implementation of new systemsDevelop & refine waitlist prioritization approachStreamline onboarding of applicants through the development of new tools and protocols to be used by CILT and our partnersDevelop reports to track and communicate key performance indicators for our Independent Living Resource Centre (ILRC) partners and funders2. Enhance Onboarding ProcessResearch and implement strategies to enhance the use of the Self-Managers Network for peer support during onboarding.3. Coordinate with ILRCs and Other ProfessionalsReview, refine and document the roles and responsibilities of ILRCs to ensure effective support and assessment of applicants and program participants (Self-Managers)Track and report progress made by ILRC staff to increase the number of applicants, and to speed onboarding at the local levelClarify and document current financial roles and responsibilitiesResearch options and/or develop an RFP to automate financial practices workflowDevelop or oversee the development of a financial forecasting tool to allow greater financial forecasting, especially as the program nears capacity5. Monitor and Report Service QualityDevelop monthly communication and reporting systems between CILT and ILRC partnersStrengthen internal reporting measures and mechanisms to adequately respond to supplementary data requests from partners and funders6. Ensure all processes are well-documented and communicated effectively to relevant stakeholders.7.
