Job Description SSR Mining Seabee Gold Operation (SGO) is hiring for a Superintendent, Safety & Training. About Your New Role Reporting to the Manager, EHSS, the Superintendent, Safety & Training will be responsible for ensuring that SSR Mining operates within the boundaries established by applicable regulation and company policy. You will provide leadership, technical support, ensure staff development and oversight, assist in program development/implementation/maintenance as it relates to safety, risk management, and training systems to achieve the goals and objectives as mandated by the company. You will strengthen the safety culture, establish high standards for the entire organization, and lead the development and maintenance of the site training program. Your Key Responsibilities Develop and implement site safety and risk management programs. Coordinate field implementation and management of safety programs. Conduct safety audits, incident investigations, and hazard identification. Develop and maintain emergency response plans and support the mine rescue team. Oversee industrial hygiene programs and ensure regulatory compliance. Manage WCB claims and liaise with offsite medical services. Identify and address sitewide and departmental training needs. Manage training budgets and learning plans for technical and core competencies. Perform gap analysis and align training with risk management priorities. Collaborate with other SSR Mining entities and external partners. Act as EHSS Manager designate when required. Any other duties as assigned by the department. Your Knowledge And Skills Effective communication skills, both verbal and written. Strong organizational and project management abilities. Leadership and team management skills. Working knowledge in safety management systems and training frameworks. Knowledge of applicable Federal and Provincial Regulations. Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Ability to work in a flyin/flyout operation. High attention to detail and persistence in resolving issues. Your Education And Experience The successful candidate will have: Minimum 710 years experience in safety, health, training, or environment leadership roles. Underground hard rock mining experience preferred. CRSP or CMSP designation and/or a degree/diploma in Education, Adult Learning, Science or related field. About Our Working Conditions This position has a schedule of 14 days on, 14 days off at our remote camp which you will be required to fly in fly out with pick up points in Saskatoon, Prince Albert and La Ronge.
