This is an ideal opportunity for a candidate who is proficient in QuickBooks, well-versed in personal and corporate tax filings, and ready to contribute to a fast-paced, professional team environment.ResponsibilitiesInternal Corporate AccountingMaintain accurate day-to-day bookkeeping for all Indigoblue Group of Companies accounts using QuickBooks.Record, track, and reconcile Mortgage Investment Corporation (MIC) transactions, including mortgage funding & discharges.Oversee monthly reconciliations, financial workflows, and internal accounts to ensure accurate and timely closing.Generate internal financial reports and summaries to inform company strategy and compliance.Ensure all internal financial documentation is current, well-organized, and audit-ready.Prepare and file corporate tax returns in accordance with up-to-date CRA requirements.Client Services under supervisionProvide full-cycle bookkeeping for external clientsincluding data entry, bank reconciliations, and maintaining ledgers using QuickBooks.Support business registrations, filings, and renewals for client businesses as part of onboarding and compliance services.Prepare and file both personal and corporate tax returns in accordance with current CRA requirements.Act as a point of contact with the CRA on behalf of clientsresolving inquiries and managing correspondence.Gather financial documents from clients, deliver regular updates, and resolve outstanding issues with professionalism and discretion.Develop client-ready financial summaries, tailored reports, and compliance documents.QualificationsMinimum 2 years hands-on experience in bookkeeping and tax preparation (experience serving a diverse client base is an asset).Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks; experience with CCH iFirm Tax Prep preferred. Thorough knowledge of current Canadian tax regulations (personal and corporate).Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business. Strong attention to detail, organizational ability, and time management skills.Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
