Reporting to a Team Lead, Structural Engineering, this position will be responsible for working with a multi-disciplinary team to take innovative design solutions from proposal stage through to constructed projects for clients in a wide variety of Sectors. Come find out for yourself what it's like to be a part of our journey.We offer attractive pay, flexible work options, a great corporate culture, comprehensive and employee-focused benefits including virtual healthcare and a wellness platform as well as great savings programs, and a clear vision for the future.#WeAreWSPWhat youll doCollaborate on team to provide technical solutions for medium to large projects under the supervision of a Senior EngineerPerform engineering calculations and assessments for steel, concrete, timber, and masonry structures, under the supervision of Senior EngineersPerform calculations using latest design software and advanced finite element modelling underpinned by a sound understanding of basic principlesDemonstrate capabilities in seismic design with an interest to grow and foster these skills, as well as intimate knowledge of both the BCBC and NBCWork collaboratively in multidisciplinary projectsParticipate in the execution of efficient and accurate project deliverables to exceptional standardsParticipate in preparation of detail drawings, sections and standard details, specifications, and ensure quality deliveryWrite technical reports with supervision of a Senior EngineerConduct field reviews, inspections, and condition assessmentsHave fun developing innovative and elegant solutions for new and existing structuresApproach all projects with curiosity and innovation through a client centric lensA proactive approach to diversity and inclusion, both in the work environment and in developing designsAdvance the notion of computational design and interactions between graphical and analytical structural modelsOccasional travel within Canada on occasionfor project related work, site assessments and site supportAbout youBachelors or Masters Degree in Structural EngineeringEligibility to register as a P.Eng. with EGBC within the next year3+ years experience in Structural EngineeringComputational design skills, and particular strength in the following software Etabs, SAP2000, RAM and/or Robot.
