Intermediate Geotechnical Engineer Arcadis Arcadis is a global leader in sustainable design, engineering and consultancy solutions. We are seeking an Intermediate Geotechnical Engineer to join our growing Geotechnics team in Western Canada (based in Vancouver). In this role you will work under the direction of senior technical leads and project managers, contributing to the investigation, analysis, design and delivery of multi-discipline infrastructure projects spanning roads, transit, ports and marine sectors. Role Accountabilities Assist in planning and executing geotechnical site investigations, mobilization and field data collection. Conduct engineering analyses and design work under supervision for foundations, retaining structures, slopes, embankments, excavations, tunnels and ground improvement. Prepare and review technical deliverables including interpretative reports, design reports, memos, calculations, drawings and cost estimates. Provide construction support: review contractor submissions, conduct site observations, assess changed conditions and collaborate with construction teams. Support client engagements by assisting in proposal development, workplanning, budgeting and submission preparation. Mentor junior engineers, share knowledge and stay current with industry best practices, emerging technologies and codes. Qualifications & Experience Bachelors degree in Geotechnical, Civil or Geological Engineering; Masters degree an asset. Eligible for registration as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in British Columbia or willing to pursue registration. 38 years of progressive experience in geotechnical engineering consultancy or infrastructure design and delivery, with exposure to transportation, transit, ports/marine or heavy civil sectors. Proficiency with geotechnical and design software (GeoStudio Suite, PLAXIS, Slide, CPeTiT, CLiq, LiqSV, Settle3, LPile/APile/RS Pile or equivalent). Strong verbal and written communication skills and excellent interpersonal, problemsolving and collaborative skills. Valid drivers licence and willingness to travel to sites within Western Canada as required. Benefits & Compensation Salary range: $89,000 $134,000. Base salary represents Arcadis hiring range for this position. Actual salaries will vary based on location, skills, experience and qualification.
