Job Description

We're searching for a highly self-disciplined sales professional for an outside sales role in the GTA. This unique position requires a genuine 'hunter' mentality to build a territory from the ground up combined with the organizational and detailed skills necessary for effective account management. The successful candidate will own the full sales cycle , which includes 100% business development and then managing, growing, and upselling to those established accounts. This is a role that demands a willingness to wear multiple hats and handle all issues (including back orders, customer service, and sourcing products) in the end to end sales cycle process. This role operates within the packaging, food service, and facility supplies distribution industries . Advantages Base Salary of $70,000 + commissions $920 monthly car allowance Three weeks vacation to start 100% company-paid benefits package starts after three months (health, dental, life, disability) Potential for long-term advancement to National Accounts or the management stream Pension plan available after one year Work autonomy and a supportive leadership style Responsibilities 100% business development/hunting to build and own a new sales territory Manage and grow accounts once relationships are established (upselling/farming) Wear multiple hats typical of distribution Deal with the full sales cycle from opening an opportunity to closing Handle product-related issues, including sourcing products, finding substitutions, and expediting back orders Project management and managing vendor relationships Take orders from ongoing accounts Quickly resolve 'fires' and problems to ensure customer satisfaction Qualifications Minimum of three years of business development and account management experience in distribution Experience in packaging, food service, or facility supplies distribution is preferred Strong preference for candidates with a distribution background Ability to work autonomously with a high degree of self-discipline Must be comfortable with an entrepreneurial approach to building a book of business Summary Exciting outside Sales Representative role in the GTA within the distribution industry (packaging, food service, facility supplies).
