In this hybrid role, with one to two days in office per week. Youll take ownership of key infrastructure components, lead technical projects, and mentor junior engineers while contributing to the reliability, scalability, and efficiency of our platform. Youll work closely with engineering, security, and product teams to deliver solutions that empower developers to build, deploy, and operate software with confidence and speed. What Youll Do Design and implement scalable infrastructure on AWS using infrastructureascode tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, Pulumi, CDK, Ansible, Chef, etc. Lead mediumtolarge platform initiatives, from planning through execution and delivery. Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, and ArgoCD. Improve developer experience by building and enhancing internal platform tools and services. Drive automation to reduce manual effort and improve operational efficiency. Mentor intermediate engineers and coops, providing guidance through code reviews, design discussions, and technical coaching. Participate in incident response, rootcause analysis, and postmortems to improve system reliability. Collaborate across teams to align infrastructure and platform capabilities with engineering needs. Contribute to platform observability, including monitoring, alerting, and SLO/SLA tracking. Participate in hiring efforts, including technical interviews and onboarding support. What Youll Bring 58 years of experience in software engineering, DevOps, or platform engineering roles. Strong handson experience with AWS and cloudnative services. Proficiency in infrastructureascode (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation, Pulumi). Solid experience with CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation. Strong knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes. Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or similar. Experience with Linux systems and systemlevel debugging. Familiarity with observability tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, CloudWatch). Exposure to AI developer tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Amazon Q Dev, Claude, Cursor). Understanding of security and compliance best practices (e.g., SOC2, PCI, ISO). Expected Salary: 120,000 -150,000 CAD. Bonus to Have Experience with multicloud environments (Azure, GCP). Exposure to autonomous workflows, AI agents, or MCPs. Familiarity with cost optimization in cloud environments. Experience with security and artifact management tools (e.g., Snyk, Mend, JFrog, Wiz). Contributions to opensource projects or internal tooling initiatives. OTEL integrations and dashboards.
