Kennedy & Dougall St. Cornelius Elementary School Albert Spencer Ave & Atchison Drive Tony Pontes Public School Newhouse Blvd & Slack Lane Tony Pontes Public School Kennedy Rd & Bonnieglen Farm Blvd Tony Pontes Public School Kennedy Rd & Newhouse Blvd As a Crossing Guard with the Town, you will: Provide the safe movement of children to and from school at designated school crossing locations by observing safe gaps in the traffic and leading the children across the roadway or intersection Supervise children while crossing Recognize road hazards and exercise good judgement in interrupting the flow of traffic To be considered, you must: Enjoy working with children. Experience as a crossing-guard would be an asset Provide a satisfactory vulnerable sector check Possess strong observation skills and the ability to recognize traffic hazards Must be able to understand and follow written and oral instructions Be courteous and have the ability to deal effectively with children, pedestrians, drivers etc. Be punctual Be able to carry and raise a ''Stop'' paddle for the shift duration (5lbs) The Town is an equal opportunity employer that is committed to an inclusive and barrier-free workplace.
