Civil Construction Estimator Municipal & Transit Infrastructure Location: Greater Toronto Area (GTA) Full -Time | Permanent Salary: $110,000$180,000 + Benefits + Bonus About the Company: Our client is a leading civil contractor specializing in municipal infrastructure and transit -related projects, with expertise in underground utilities, roadworks, bridge construction, and large -scale excavations. Known for delivering high -quality and complex projects on schedule and within budget, the company is expanding its pre -construction team with a skilled Estimator who can support upcoming bids and long -term growth. The Opportunity: As a Civil Construction Estimator, you will play a key role in preparing accurate, competitive, and timely cost estimates for civil projects ranging from municipal infrastructure upgrades to major transit -related works. Projects typically range in value from $1 million to $100 million+, giving you the opportunity to work on some of the region''s most challenging and high -profile infrastructure developments. Key Responsibilities: - Prepare detailed cost estimates for projects in underground utilities, road construction, bridge works, and large excavations - Analyze drawings, specifications, and addendums to determine project scope and requirements - Conduct quantity take -offs, prepare unit pricing, and review subcontractor and supplier quotes - Work closely with project managers, engineers, and clients during the bidding process - Prepare tender submissions and ensure compliance with municipal and transit authority standards - Monitor industry pricing, market conditions, and material/labour cost trends - Support project teams during post -bid negotiations and project award transitions - Build and maintain relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and key stakeholders Qualifications: - 5+ years of estimating experience in civil construction (preferably with underground utilities, roadworks, bridge construction, or transit -related infrastructure) - Strong knowledge of municipal construction standards, MTO contracts, and transit authority specifications - Post -secondary education in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline preferred - Proficient in estimating software (HCSS, HeavyBid, Bid2Win, or similar) and MS Office Suite - Excellent analytical, organizational, and time management skills - Strong communication and negotiation abilities - P.Eng., CET, or PQS designation considered an asset What''s in it for you: - Competitive base salary with annual performance bonus - Comprehensive health, dental, and retirement benefits - Opportunity to work on high -profile municipal and transit infrastructure projects in the GTA - Projects ranging in size from $1M to $100M+ - Professional development and career advancement opportunities - Supportive and collaborative team culture Apply Now: If you are a detail -oriented Civil Estimator with expertise in municipal and transit -related infrastructure projects, we want to hear from you.
