We are currently hiring an experienced Forklift Operator with strong receiving experience to take on a Lead Hand role during the afternoon shift. This role is ideal for someone with a minimum of 2years of progressive experience in the logistics industry, who is comfortable in a fast-paced cross-docking environment and ready to lead by example. As the Lead Hand, you will be actively involved in day-to-day operations not just supervising, but hands-on in moving freight efficiently and safely. This role requires a licensed counterbalance forklift operator with a proven ability to handle volume and maintain speed and accuracy. Key Responsibilities: Operate a counterbalance forklift efficiently and safely in a cross-dock environment Lead and support the team during the shift to ensure timely loading/unloading Maintain high productivity in high-volume cross-docking Communicate clearly with team members, dispatch, and supervisors Ensure proper documentation, pallet organization, and freight movement Stay past shift end time if required to complete tasks Requirements: Minimum 2 years of progressive experience in the logistics industry (cross-docking environment is a must) Valid counterbalance forklift license/certification Proven ability to work quickly and accurately under pressure Previous experience acting as or assisting a Lead Hand is an asset Excellent communication skills and team coordination abilities Willingness to work, with flexibility to stay longer as needed What We Offer: Competitive hourly pay: $19.00 to $20.00/hour Stable full-time position with growth opportunity Team-oriented environment with hands-on leadership Opportunity to make a real impact in daily cross-docking operations Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
