Our client is a thriving community experiencing rapid growth, and is seeking a seasoned professional to lead its Engineering & Infrastructure division. Reporting to the Corporate Leader Growth & Sustainability, the Division Leader will play a critical role in shaping the municipality''s future. Responsibilities: Build and inspire a high-performing team, fostering collaboration and innovation. Develop and implement long-term engineering strategies aligned with the municipality''s goals. Oversee land-use planning initiatives, ensuring compliance with zoning bylaws and development standards. Manage the municipality''s infrastructure assets, including roads, water, wastewater, and drainage systems. Lead and coordinate engineering projects from inception to completion, adhering to budget and timelines. Ensure compliance with all relevant federal, provincial, and municipal regulations. Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including developers, residents, and government agencies. Develop and manage the division''s budget, ensuring efficient resource allocation. Required Qualifications: Bachelor''s degree in Civil, Environmental, or Transportation Engineering from an accredited university. Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) license in Ontario. Minimum of 5 years of progressive engineering experience in municipal public works. Proven leadership and supervisory experience in a unionized environment. Strong knowledge of land use planning, development approvals, and infrastructure management processes. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in relevant engineering software and applications.
