Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Line Cook/Prep Cook with a strong interest or experience in Indian cuisine to join our dynamic culinary team. This role is essential in preparing high-quality dishes and ensuring smooth kitchen operations. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food, excellent food handling skills, and experience in a fast-paced restaurant environment. Knowledge of Indian curries, spices, and tandoor cooking techniques is a strong asset. This position offers an opportunity to develop culinary skills and grow within the food service industry. Duties Prepare ingredients and assemble dishes according to restaurant recipes and standards Assist in food preparation, including chopping, marinating, and portioning ingredients Prepare and cook Indian dishes, including curries, tandoori items, and other regional specialties Operate and maintain tandoor ovens safely and efficiently (training provided if needed) Cook menu items with attention to quality, presentation, and timely service Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including washing dishes and sanitizing surfaces Follow food safety guidelines and proper handling procedures at all times Support the team during busy hours by efficiently managing multiple tasks Ensure all food served meets safety and quality standards Assist in inventory management by monitoring supplies and notifying management of shortages Experience Prior experience in food preparation, cooking, or food service preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures Experience working in a restaurant or kitchen environment is highly desirable Familiarity with Indian spices, curry preparation, and tandoor cooking is a strong advantage Familiarity with meal preparation techniques and kitchen equipment usage Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced setting Strong teamwork skills with excellent attention to detail This role is vital to delivering exceptional dining experiences, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety, and supporting our culinary team''s success.
