Job Description Located in the Southern York Region, Circle of Care''s Adult Day Program is funded by Ontario Health at Home. The goal of the program is to engage Seniors in stimulating active programs that bring joy to their day. Our clients may have Dementia, Physical Frailty, Developmental Delay, and Palliative Care. Our team of interdisciplinary professionals includes RN/Supervisor, Social Workers, Recreationists, Students, and Program Assistants. We are looking for: A full-time permanent Dietary Aide, Adult Day Program Hours of Work: 34-hour work week. Monday & Tuesday: 8:30am to 4:30pm, Wednesday: 10:30am to 6:30pm, Saturday and Sunday: 8:30am to 3:30pm. This role is required on-site at 9600 Bathrust Street. Reports to: Supervisor, ADP Program Responsibilities Work with food provider to place food orders and plan weekly/monthly menu. Plate and serve meals, supervise client dining. Oversee staff, students, and volunteers assisting in the kitchen. Daily baking with a group of clients. Knowledge of COR rules. Ensure kitchen remains both Kosher and non-kosher. Provide Admin Assistant with a weekly list of supplies needed. Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment. When required provide administrative assistance. Attend staff meetings, case reviews and training. Occasional program assistant duties, including personal care and bathing, and other tasks to support team needs. Qualifications Valid CPR, First Aid Certificate. Food Handler Training Certificate. PSW certificate. 1+ year of experience working in an industrial kitchen. Knowledge of COR requirements and, or a willingness to learn. Experience working with frail and impaired elderly and their families. Experience working with individuals living with Alzheimer''s disease and dementia. Experience assisting in recreational programming for seniors i.e. baking/cooking. Must be able to work as part of multi-disciplinary team with excellent communication skills. Experience in a community setting/ Adult Day Program or Long-Term Care is preferred. Experience working with clients in a Jewish environment is an asset.
