The Dog House Catering is seeking a part time freelance bookkeeper to support ongoing bookkeeping, historical cleanup, and year end preparation. This role is ideal for a detail-focused professional who works independently and communicates clearly. Local candidates in Fredericton and surrounding areas are preferred. Responsibilities: Clean up and organize existing books Reconcile bank feeds and maintain accurate records Complete routine bookkeeping tasks in a timely manner Work with the owner to prepare 2025 for year end Review prior years and identify issues, corrections, and gaps Ensure transactions are recorded correctly, including mixed payment sources (cash, e-transfer, personal credit card) Requirements: Strong understanding of sole proprietorship and partnership bookkeeping High attention to detail and accuracy Ability to analyze transactions and understand context before recording Experience with Xero and QuickBooks Online or willingness to learn both Familiarity with Dext is an asset Reliable communication and ability to work independently on flexible hours To apply, include: Your hourly rate Your typical weekly availability (evenings, weekends, or specific days) A brief summary of your relevant experience We are looking for someone who takes pride in precise, audit-ready bookkeeping and can collaborate effectively as we strengthen our financial systems.
