Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Paint Prepper and Painter to join our dynamic automotive restoration and repair team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing vehicles for painting, applying high-quality paint finishes, and ensuring every vehicle meets our rigorous standards for appearance and durability. Your expertise will help bring vehicles back to their original beauty or give them a fresh new look, contributing to the overall customer satisfaction and vehicle excellence. Responsibilities Prepare vehicle surfaces by cleaning, sanding, masking, and applying primer to ensure optimal paint adhesion and finish quality. Use hand tools, power tools, and airless paint sprayers to apply paint, clear coats, and other finishes with precision. Perform auto body repairs including dent removal, filling, sanding, and minor welding to restore vehicle panels before painting. Conduct auto glass replacement or repair as needed to ensure safety and quality standards. Buff, polish, and detail vehicles post-painting to achieve a flawless finish that exceeds customer expectations. Assist with auto restoration projects by performing mechanical tasks or supporting auto estimating processes when required. Follow safety protocols diligently while handling chemicals, paints, and heavy lifting tasks to maintain a safe work environment. Skills Proven experience in auto body repair, auto painting, or dealership service environments. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to perform minor repairs and understand vehicle systems. Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, buffing equipment, and airless paint spraying systems. Knowledge of auto glass installation or repair is a plus. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when handling vehicle parts or equipment. Experience with auto estimating software and customer service skills are advantageous for supporting client interactions. Welding skills or experience with auto restoration projects will enhance your effectiveness in this role.
