Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Tax Preparer to join our financial services team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in accounting principles, tax regulations, and experience with various accounting software. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where accuracy and analytical skills are essential for preparing accurate tax returns and supporting clients'' financial needs. Prior experience with bookkeeping, auditing, and financial analysis is highly valued. The position is full-time and involves collaborating with clients to ensure compliance and optimize financial outcomes. Duties Prepare individual and business tax returns accurately and efficiently, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Tax cycle and other accounting tools to organize financial data Conduct analysis of financial statements to identify discrepancies or areas for improvement Perform account reconciliation to ensure accuracy of client records Assist clients with bookkeeping tasks including accounts payable, payroll, and budgeting Support auditing processes by reviewing financial documents and ensuring adherence to regulatory standards Provide advice on investment strategies, tax planning, and financial management based on client needs Maintain organized records of all tax-related documentation for audit purposes Stay updated on current tax laws and industry best practices to provide accurate guidance Qualifications Proven experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Tax Cycle or similar platforms Strong analysis skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data Knowledge of auditing procedures, accounts payable, account reconciliation, payroll, and budgeting processes Familiarity with financial services including investment management is a plus Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills to ensure accuracy in all work products Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment Relevant certifications or degrees in accounting, finance, or related fields are preferred but not required Prior experience in tax preparation or related roles is highly desirable This position offers an engaging opportunity for professionals passionate about finance and taxation to contribute their expertise within a supportive team environment.
