Position Overview We are seeking a Medical Office Assistant / Unit Clerk to join our fast-paced clinical team. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, adaptable, professional, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision. Key Responsibilities Perform ECGs Book and manage multiple appointments efficiently Work collaboratively within a team-driven environment Demonstrate initiative and strong attention to detail Maintain high standards of professionalism and patient care Follow standard precautions based on AHS and Alberta Cardiology policies Employment RequirementsExperience (Required): MOA experience: 3 years minimum Combined clinical/administrative experience: 4 years minimum Medical terminology: 3 years minimum Booking in a medical facility: 2 years minimum Health-Quest EMR experience: Minimum 3 years required Team Lead or Supervisory experience: Minimum 1 year Must have worked in a clinic within the last year Education (Required): Secondary School Diploma MOA Certificate / Unit Clerk Certificate (must be from an accredited Canadian institution) AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (Canadian) Certifications (Required): BLS Certification MOA Certification Vaccination Requirement As per Alberta Health Services guidelines and Alberta Cardiology policy, all applicants must be fully vaccinated and meet all immunization requirements. Language Requirements Fluent in English (spoken, written, and reading) Punjabi is an asset (not required) French not required Schedule & Availability Day shift Evening shift Monday to Friday Weekends as needed Must be willing to travel: 100% required Compensation Pay: $16.00$18.00 per hour Expected hours: 2544 hours per week Benefits include: Dental care Extended health care Disability insurance Life insurance On-site parking Interview Conditions & Pre-Screening Applicants must be ready, able, and willing to participate in pre-screening during the first interview.
